The Ultimate Reality is the real guru. No personality is involved. meditate on the feet of the guru, the padukas. Keep the padukas inside your heart. Then you close your eyes and touch your heart with your hands and chant ‘Om Sri Gurubhyo Namaha’ which simply means ‘Om, I bow down to the guru’.
