Manav Ekta Mission is the brainchild of Sri M — spiritual guide, social reformer and educationist — working under the aegis of the Satsang Foundation, towards the oneness of all humanity.
The Mission advocates that humanity is one — transcending religious, racial, geographical, cultural and ideological differences. Every human soul is potentially divine and the coming together of humanity is nothing but truly experiencing divinity amongst ourselves.
Objectives of Manav Ekta Mission
Interfaith Harmony – Initiatives that promote and nurture interfaith unity, harmony and the message of oneness
Equality for All – Enabling equality for all, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, language and gender
Sustainable Living – Activities inspiring harmony with nature to energise our immediate eco-systems
Women Empowerment – Programs that engender empowerment and safety of women
Community Health – Propagating effective community awareness programs to improve sanitation and primary healthcare, thus creating a positive influence on personal and societal health and hygiene
Education & Youth Development – An active proponent to spread education in the lower strata of society and to empower youth through education across the nation.
The Mission is based on the core belief that humanity, regardless of differences, is built on the foundation of peace. The Mission works by encouraging people to nurture the innate goodness in every human being. In Sri M’s own words: “Born human, be human, every step for humanity.”
Some initiatives of the Manav Ekta Mission include:
Sarva Dharma Kendra – A spiritual retreat to facilitate dialogue between religions and a forum for realising the essential unity of all religions.Envisioned by Sri M, Sarva Dharma Kendra conceptually seeks to transcend the outer-shell of all world religions—by exploring their core to nurture the innate goodness in every human being. It experiments with the truth common to all religions to find whether faiths can go beyond disparities and evoke basic human unity and brotherhood, thus bringing alive the ideals of love, peace and freedom.
Walk of Hope 2015 -16– A padayatra for peace and harmony, covering 7500 kms from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Led by Sri M, founder of Manav Ekta Mission, the journey spans 15-18 months through 11 Indian states, bringing together citizens from all walks of life. Traversing the varied landscape of India, it seeks a significantly restored nation — fit enough to be bequeathed to our future generations.
