Have patience in the face of criticism. Even when greatly agitated, try to be patient.

Saburi means complete patience, especially in sadhana where one has to go through so many trials and tribulations.

If we live for thirty-five or forty years close to someone who we consider a great teacher, like the Sai Baba of Shirdi, and worship him,

Sai Baba used to say that he practiced Guru Yoga, complete attention on the teacher.

What each one of us must understand is to first lead a good life by helping as many people as possible

Sai Baba always said, ‘I give people what they ask – thinking, hoping, they will ask me one day what I really want to give them’.

The central message is –there is only One Supreme Being and that Supreme Being resides in the hearts of all. He is the Antaryami.

Sai Baba was a strange person. Sometimes, his mood would be terrible, and nobody would dare go near him. And then, sometimes, he would be so affectionate that you could do anything

Satsangis critical – because you become according to the company you keep. If I live with people who talk about the Truth or want to find out what it is; who do japa and kirtan and bhajan, then I become like them in due course.

There’s a faculty that opens by which one can probably begin to understand these things. That is called the opening of the ‘Heart’.  It is not open-heart surgery!

We think we can solve everything with our rational brain! This is one of the problems man faces when he reads the scriptures. He feels that with his intellect, he can explain everything.
