To feed a hungry mouth is equal to 10 days of tapasya.

Coming full circle, a year on
The Satsang Foundation’s Community kitchen set in the glorious epicentre of Shri Krishna’s Leelas in Vrindavan is gearing up to celebrate its first anniversary on September 3, 2024. Started in the midst of a sublime Bhagwat Saptah by Sri M in Braj Bhoomi in 2023, the kitchen has been named Madhu Ki Rasoi after his given diksha name Madhukarnath.
Simple, nourishing meals are carried forth every evening via a mobile unit to the Mathura Railway Station and several locations to serve hungry wayfarers, itinerant sadhus, impoverished daily wagers, and weary travelers at the twin cities of Mathura-Vrindavan. Debuting with 200 meals per day, the rasoi has since clocked over 90, 000 meals, including day-long bhandaras or community meals on festive occasions such as Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Ganga Dussehra, and Guru Purnima, sustaining the constant influx of pilgrims and local denizens alike.
Home is where the hearth is
The hearth of the Madanapalle Ashram, nestled close to The Satsang Vidyalaya (TSV), has sustained innumerable children, teachers, and support staff with homely, delectable meals since the establishment of the school. Guests and visitors have partaken of these victuals at a nominal cost over the years until the inauguration of the prasadalayam – a home-grown Madhu Ki Rasoi – a sacred space where annadaanam seva is celebrated on a daily basis with reverence and gratitude.
