How do we deal with regret?

Every human being who lives in this world and who is also spiritually inclined comes across challenging situations. Nobody is free of that.

If you have done something wrong to someone intentionally or unintentionally, It depends on the emotions and what you did. But in general, I can only say this, that if you decide firmly, you can do some pujas and all for your satisfaction. That’s a different matter.  But if you realise that you have committed a mistake, and decide that you will not commit it in future. To whoever you have committed this mistake, you can send good thoughts and ask for forgiveness. If this strongly reverberates in your mind every day, then it will take care of it.

They sometimes challenge your spiritual progress and sometimes because of spiritual practices it challenges your material growth. You have to decide whether I want to do this or  I want to do that. If you do that, then don’t feel guilty. All you have to say is that it’s a mistake. I did it once. I will not repeat it again and move forward. The other way is to say okay whatever happens I am a spiritual person. I will not succumb to any other temptations but then it’s possible that materially, you might suffer a bit.

In fact, if you are doing Kriya, at the end of Kriya, when you are meditating, please set some good thoughts and ask for forgiveness. Say that, it happened, but then make sure to tell yourself, I will not repeat it again.

You also have to look at yourself carefully and find out what is the major problem that is preventing me from moving towards my goal. Not material goal, spiritual goal. You have to think carefully and sort it out.

And then if you sort it out and say, I think this is what the problem is, then we can discuss. This is why Swadhyaya, self study is very important. You have to understand yourself and you will come to know it not in isolation but while you are living in this world.

Because the state of mind is understood only depending on how it reacts with the world.

Give a deep thought and you will figure it out for yourself. Give a deep thought.
