The Seva Journey Continues – 7 to 9 November

Seva Utsav & Annadaanam Seva 2025: Part IV

On the last day of Seva Utsav, 9 November, an array of sevas were offered at Mumbai, Pune, Cuttack, Kolkata, and Chowdepalle.

About 400 children residing in the labour camps near Hiranandani Estate in Thane, Mumbai celebrated Sri M’s birthday with love, joy, and gratitude as they partook of homemade refreshments and enjoyed a day out at the Hiranandani Park. Volunteers also spent wondrous moments with the children at Bal Snehalaya Home in Thane, engaging them in a brief yoga session and interactive games. A screening of a short video on The Walk of Hope was followed by candid interactions, helping the children understand the Walk. Servings of refreshments and fruits concluded this unique seva. Meanwhile, at Panvel in Navi Mumbai, the Ved Pathshala reverberated with the chants of the Rudram and the Purusha Suktam as the young Vedic scholars residing here performed the Sandhya Vandana. Annadaanam seva was followed by the offering of hygiene kits to all 65 students.

Dry ration supplies for a month were offered at the Bhalo Basha Home in Kolkata for a small group of elderly women. Spending time with each one of the residents, the volunteers enjoyed the camaraderie and optimism of the seniors despite their travails.

In Pune, the Seva Utsav culminated gently on 9 November with the offering of Gau Seva at Jagdamba Gaushala. Volunteers had provided fodder for 70 cows sheltered here for a week starting on 3 November. The cows were fed nutritious green and dry fodder, ensuring their health and sustenance. Jaggery was lovingly offered to the cows to help provide energy and warmth in winter. Volunteers felt a profound connection to the values of kindness and empathy, realizing that every small act of care contributes to the greater harmony of life.

Medical care was at the forefront on the concluding day as a team of specialists held a medical camp at the Theosophy Society Centre, Cuttack on 9 November, providing consultations in Pulmonary Medicine, Orthopaedics, Urology, and General Medicine for about 100 patients. Complaints such as respiratory infections, allergies, asthma, chronic chest ailments,  chronic osteoarthritis, joint pains, lumbago, and urological problems were addressed. Generic medicines were given at no cost and further treatment advised.

The ArogyaM team conducted an Ayurveda outreach camp at Basavan Gudi, Palamner, serving over 100 people through consultations and medicines at no cost, offering care and healing to our rural communities.

Finale – 14 – 23 November

When you serve a less fortunate person in any way, material or spiritual, you are not doing him a favour. In fact, he who receives your help does you a favour by accepting what you give, and thereby helps you to evolve and move closer to the Divine, Blissful Being who in reality is within you and in the hearts of all beings. – Sri M

Children’s Day Celebrations at Chanda Satsang Vidyalaya, Lathira in Amroha District, united children, teachers, guests, and members of The Satsang Foundation, Delhi Kendra in the spirit of selfless service. The children honored their founder and patron, Sri M, for providing them a sanctuary to grow into responsible world citizens. Enthralling the gathering with recitations of Sant Kabir’s dohas and narrating the significant events from Sri M’s life, the children also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Winter uniforms and a special lunch were offered to the children amidst warm interactions with them, building a heartfelt connection with the bright first-generation learners.

Volunteers at Delhi concluded their celebration of Seva Utsav with annadaanam seva at the School for the Visually Challenged at Lajapat Nagar on 22 November and Preet Pathshala, a school for children of migrant workers, in Gurugram on 23 November.

Drawing all events to a close and surrendering the fruits of each seva; the tireless efforts of each volunteer; the gracious tears and smiles of each recipient; and the timely help and contribution of each donor; the teams at The Satsang Foundation express their profound gratitude to Sri M for his constant guidance and the opportunity to give unconditionally.
