The Satsang Vidyalaya looms gently into view as the children walk down an asphalted road leading to The Satsang Foundation campus in Madanapalle. A milestone marking the 25th Anniversary of the school greets the children as they stream excitedly past a representation of the metamorphosis of the school from a single-room with a thatched roof to a one-storeyed building bustling with cheerful voices and jubilant cries.

Skirted by a spacious courtyard and a play area, the school welcomes first-generation learners from the local Lambani community and other marginalized communities into a safe haven where experiential learning, critical thinking, creativity, and independent inquiry blossom with the nurturing care and mentorship of trained, qualified teachers.
Going beyond academics

While the children explore several subjects in accordance with a prescribed curriculum, the learning-teaching paradigm is anchored in time-tested values of empathy, mutual respect, and kindness. Children are encouraged to go beyond the ken of ordinary understanding and the challenges of their daily lives to express themselves with grace and confidence.
Special events and co-curricular activities provide an avenue for these intrepid learners to display their innate talents and take on responsibilities admirably as witnessed during the recent celebrations of Independence Day and National Teacher’s Day.
Independence Day: Impressing with multilingual, vibrant performances

India’s 79th Independence Day began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, a prayer, and tributes to martyrs as the tricolor was hoisted by the Chief Guest.

The children captivated the audience with a magnificent, multilingual performance in English, Hindi, and Telugu, through inspiring Independence Day messages, songs, and dances depicting the cultural heritage of India.

Patriotic fervor shone through brilliantly in a short skit and musical performance on Operation Sindoor while the agility and fearlessness of the older boys held everyone in rapt attention as they displayed pyramid formations, poised perfectly and working in complete harmony.
National Teacher’s Day: Honoring the guru tattva

National Teachers’ Day proved to be the epitome of empowerment as the Grade 10 children clad in vibrant, formal clothes assumed the mantle of their mentors in the classrooms and taught their younger camarades with singular focus.

A heart-warming celebration, honoring the divinity in their teachers, unfolded soon after. Paying a floral tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the illustrious Indian academician, statesman, and former President, whose birthday is commemorated on this special day, a few children addressed the gathering and expressed their gratitude to their teachers for moulding their young minds and shaping their future.

Felicitating the principal and teachers with fragrant garlands, vermillion tilaks, and draping them in traditional shawls, the children then lovingly offered gift boxes brimming over with goodies and showered them with sunny smiles. Certificates of appreciation for teachers and support staff concluded the simple yet sincere ceremony.
