Swaasthya Hospitals – Reaching out to rural India

Since its inception in 2023, Swaasthya Hospitals has accomplished more than 60 health outreach camps providing timely and dedicated services to more than 8000 people,  creating an implicit trust amongst the local folk who have increasingly availed of multifarious facilities such as Physiotherapy and X-ray. The medical team at Swaasthya Hospitals also refers all surgical procedures to tertiary care centres ensuring that the patients receive timely treatment.

In the past two months, these health outreach camps have had a substantial bearing on the rural areas in the vicinity of Madanapalle and Nagpur, proving to be impactful lifelines for rural communities by offering a wide range of medical services and addressing critical health needs.

Ankisettipalli

The small village of Ankisettipalli, near Madanapalle, is one such recipient of Swaasthya Hospitals’ outreach camp which provided comprehensive care to more than 147 patients. The camp’s services included general medical consultations, cardiac screenings, obstetrical and gynaecological services, orthopaedic check-ups, and dental care. The identification of two patients at a high risk of cardiac complications affirms the camp’s effectiveness in detecting potential health issues and taking immediate and requisite action.

Matlavaripalli

On the heels of Ankisettipalli, was Matlavaripalli, a tiny hamlet in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.  On 1 September, 2024, Team Swaasthya Hospitals conducted a successful health camp administering medical care to 153 patients suffering from a host of health conditions some of which included paediatric problems, hypertension, and diabetes. The teams were quick to detect that almost 35% of the patients were in dire need of medical attention and adeptly supported them with medicines.

The unswerving and steadfast medical treatment is starkly visible and validated by the fact that the total number of camps for the 7 months ranging between September 2023 to March 2024 were 45 and for the 5-month, time-frame of April to August 2024 are 15, totalling to 60 health outreach camps. The Out-Patient Department (OPD) at the Swaasthya Hospitals, Madanapalle, figures for the same time-frame are 4003 and 4224 adding up to 8227. Physiotherapy services have ranged from 234 to 248 resulting in a total of 482 services. Lab and X-ray services have ranged from 299 to 148 and 39 to 221 resulting in a total of 447 and 260 in all.
