Swaasthya Hospital – Picking up momentum

Sri M’s vision of providing affordable and timely secondary and holistic healthcare to rural India is taking shape in Madanapalle. The Swaasthya Hospital, which is envisaged to be a 45-bedded healthcare centre with a scope to expand up to 100 beds is picking up momentum.

Weekly follow-up meetings to review progress, discuss challenges and brainstorm ideas are held regularly. The team met on 5th September, 2021 at Brains Sparsh Hospital, Bangalore, to discuss and negotiate details of cost and came up with a thorough financial plan.

The STP and lift vendors have been identified and paperwork is nearing completion. Site visits by various specialists have started. The peripheral retaining wall and walls of the Sewage Treatment Plant are nearing completion. Waterproofing of the same will be taken up shortly.

A fully functional ambulance service was started recently. The ambulance already has scheduled visits to our other projects at different locations and will soon reach out to villages nearby to render service at their door-step.

Taking big strides, the telemedicine services will also start soon. This will enable doctors to reach out to villagers looking for specialist consultation via tele-consultations.

The Swaasthya Hospital aims to provide timely treatment to those in need within the ‘Golden Hour’. The pandemic has made us realise the need for a centre of excellence like Swaasthya Hospitals where everything from critical care to COVID care can be attended to. With all critical services from emergency services and two fully equipped operation theatres to ICU under one roof, the Hospital will be a beacon of hope and save many lives.

We hope to continue working at this excellent pace and with your support, we can have the Swaasthya Hospital commissioned for service in record time.
