Samadhi is when you are meditating upon the Supreme Being and there is no individual meditator but only the Supreme Being. In the sankhya parlance, the atman merges with the paramatman. In Vedantic language, the atman’s identity has disappeared and only the paramatman or Brahman remains. In the language of the bhakta – he is so lost in contemplation of God that he forgets himself, so there is only that God or Supreme Being!
