The students of Satsang Vidyalaya celebrated Children’s Day 2016 in a simple but happy way. In the morning assembly the Principal gave a short speech on the importance of the day and requested students to follow the principles of ‘Chacha’ Nehru in helping build India to be a world leader.
He reminded them that they represent the future of India and they must follow the examples laid down by the founder of the school, Sri M. The students and teachers organised a small fun event in which the staff had to act according to the instructions given in a sheet of paper hidden inside a balloon that had to be burst by the teachers sitting on them. It was a great fun to watch how teachers had to spell out English alphabets and mathematical numerals in reverse order and ‘adding a tail’ to the picture of a cow.
This was followed by a power-point presentation on the life of Jawaharlal Nehru and a song on ‘Chacha’ Nehru. Sweets and pens were distributed to the students, followed by a special lunch meal with traditional desserts, organised by the Satsang Foundation.
