Pran Pratishtha of Sri Guru Babaji Temple in Kerala

Embodied with the Divine wisdom that transcends worldly boundaries, unseen or visible, Sri Guru Babaji has been a guiding force for seekers and sadhaks alike for centuries, His ethereal presence remains untouched by the constraints of time and place.

On 15th February, 2024, Sri M did the pran pratishtha (consecration) of the Sri Guru Babaji Temple at Nooranad, Kerala, a first in Southern India.

The day began with a spontaneous gathering of the seekers & devotees who had come from all over the world to witness and participate in this auspicious event. The Sun was approving, as all basked in the morning rays filling the clear blue skies. The ceremony commenced with the chanting of the Guru Mantra and Shanti prayers, followed by Rudram Chamakam chanting.

As the Holy chants of Sri Rudram set the stage for this Divine event, Sri M did the Pranapratistha, bringing to life the sacred energies of Sri Guru Babaji in the temple. The idol was adorned with Lotus mala and Tulasi mala, followed by Aarti with camphor, accompanied by the ringing of bells.

Hearts brimming with joy and Divine bliss, all present were able to pay their respects to Sri Guru Babaji. This was followed by mellifluous bhajans and then Prasadam distribution & Annadanam.

After the Pranaprathistha, Sri M shared how he had initially been hesitant to take on yet another project as there was so much already on his plate. However, he was given certain signs to go ahead by Babaji . When he saw this land, it had an ancient Temple and certain geological remains from the time of the Pandavas. This seemed to be a perfect location for the Temple of Sri Guru Babaji to be built upon.
Sri M said that the temple will function as a Kriya center for Kerala, hosting regular retreats every year or two years to provide easier access to Kriya Yoga for people from Kerala, eliminating the need for extensive travel.

Sri M also reminded everyone that the Spiritual Path is the path of the Heart and the purpose of Sadhana is to open up the hridaya. Sri M lit the sacred Dhuni in the evening and suggested that we should surrender all the desires other than the desire for MOKSHA into the sacrificial fire. This would take everyone faster towards their Spiritual goal.
