A Sacred Beginning to Holistic Well-being

On 3rd July, Sri M inaugurated the Sacred Grove – Center for Exploring Consciousness and ArogyaM – Wellness center based on Ayurveda & Yoga. The inaugural ceremonies flowed with a spontaneous ease, paying tribute to Sri M’s vision and its evolution into a multi-faceted Center.

Sri M arrived at The Sacred Grove a little before 11 am and was received by a small group of Satsangis gathered to celebrate the occasion.

At the Swadhyaya Kshetra – library, He lit the lamp of Shraddha in front of Sri Guru Babaji and Sri Maheshwarnath Babaji.

The audio-visual section of the library was inaugurated by playing a brief film giving an overview of the entire campus and the ongoing activities.

The veranda facing the lotus pond courtyard, adjoining the Vrikshavalli – a plantation of indigenous plants, offered a beautiful ambiance for an informal chat with the Master.

Sri M and other invited guests were led to the Sadhak-Nivas – a cluster of cottages set up for those desirous of Swadhyaya – self study.  Sri M explained the purpose of these cottages to the invitees, and all appreciated the set up.

The pathway in front of the Sadhak-Nivas, with a Vrikshavalli of Rudraksh, Palash, Kadamba and 50 other species of indigenous plantation provided a picturesque walk down to the next venue of inauguration – ArogyaM, the Wellness Centre based on Ayurveda and Yoga.

At the main entrance of ArogyaM, Sri M was received with a traditional welcome. He was offered a Purnakumbha to be carried and placed at the Deepasthali and along with others lit the Deepam to mark the auspicious inauguration of the Wellness Centre.

The entrance of the Wellness Centre opens on to a beautiful courtyard with a tamarind tree occupying the Centre stage. Lord Dhanwantri, another manifestation of Vishnu is enshrined here to promise ArogyaM to one and all.

Amid chanting of Vishnu Sahasranamam, Sri M invited the spirit of “Dhanvantharaye Amrutha Kalasa Hastaya”, to grant the Amrut of wellbeing to all. As if to highlight this attribute, the kalasham in the hand of the idol had a natural golden glow to it, inbuilt in the natural stone out of which it is carved.

Words of blessings from Sri M followed the offerings at the shrine. He promised to keep visiting and not mince words when corrections are required.  Sri M invited everyone to visit and join the programs as the Sacred Grove and the Wellness Center. He also mentioned that he will teach “Kaya-kalpa”, a specialized form of yogic practice at an appropriate time in the future.

The Sacred Grove team joined Sri M to plant a sapling of Parijata tree in the courtyard adjoining the treatment rooms of the Wellness Centre, as if to pray for the fragrance of ArogyaM to spread far and wide.

Each department of ArogyaM – the Wellness Centre, was visited by Sri M and appreciated, as if he was securing safety and blessing it to be of service to humanity.

No visit to the Sacred Grove is complete without a visit to the Goshala.  This time all present admired the drawings of Balkrishna adorning the walls of Goshala. All the invitees along with Sri M greeted the 14 bovine beauties of different age groups and gender and fed them bananas and jaggery.

Sounds of “Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari, Hey Nath Narayan Vasudeva” echoed as Sri M walked towards the Krishna shrine, he had inaugurated exactly six months ago. He garlanded Krishna saying that “this Madhu looks after the whole place”. With this all proceeded to receive Prasad in the new Dining Hall.

Sri M inaugurated the dining hall, by lighting a lamp of ‘Santrupti’ for all. A day when all invitees shared a meal with all the workers who had helped bring the Sacred Grove to its present state of completion.
