The International Day of Yoga, celebrated on June 21st each year, holds deep significance for Bharat Yoga Vidya Kendra (BYVK) and the global yoga community. For BYVK, the International Day of Yoga represents an opportunity to celebrate and promote this ancient art.
It is a day to showcase the transformative power of yoga, both on an individual level and as a means to create a harmonious and peaceful society. Thus, our theme for this year’s Yoga day celebrations is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, or ” the whole world is one family.”
This year, BYVK has encouraged its alumni to hold yoga sessions in their communities, schools, and workplaces. These sessions serve as platforms to introduce yoga to a wider audience, and are meant to bring together people from diverse backgrounds, thus creating an environment where individuals can explore the holistic dimensions of yoga.
On the International Day of Yoga, BYVK would like to highlight the importance of incorporating yoga into your daily life. Yoga extends beyond the mat. Integrating various yoga practices into our routines can improve the well-being of body, mind, and spirit.
As we approach this day, let us come together as a global community, united in our commitment to promote peace, well-being, and harmony through the practice of yoga.
